Why can't I install the 1Password extension in Safari?
When I try to install the extension in Safari, I get the following message: "That application didn't work. The selected application was signed in an unsupported way or may be missing a required ident...

I have made the manual checks you recommended. There are no updates available for my OS or Safari. BTW, I never use "auto-update."
I tried the troubleshooting fix, but when I clicked on "Fix MIssing Safari Extension," nothing seemed to happen. I then checked for extensions installed in Safari and 1Password wasn't there.
Looks like it's time to get me over to your tech team colleagues.
