I recently purchased a yubikey and setup the 2FA to use the key. It seemed to work for a few days. Now when when I open 1Password on my PC it requests password again and when I touch the key it seems to enter a long password but does not unlock.... What is the problem here?

Adding a security key like a Yubikey to your 1Password account provides two-factor authentication. It does not replace your account password. If you have enabled "Integrate with 1Password app" in 1Password in the browser's settings, 1Password in your browser will unlock with the 1Password desktop app. This will allow you to use Touch ID or unlock with Apple Watch on Mac, or Windows Hello on Windows.
