Google Pixel 8 Pro Android 16 1Password for Android 8.11.6 Today, I decided it was the day to setup Passkeys across the supported website/services. Started 1Password for Android - > Watchtower and selected uber.com. Went to the suggested URL after tapping "Use Passkey". URL went to https://account.uber.com/passkeys. Logged in. Was presented the Passkeys page for Uber. Tapped + Create a passkey. Tapped Create a passkey at the popup dialog. Bam! Google Password Manager pops up asking if I would like to create a passkey to sign in to account.uber.com. Cancelled. I remembered doing this already so I went to the following places to check settings. Chrome -> ... -> Settings -> Google Password Manager -> Settings. Checked the following; Offer to save passwords (disabled), Automatically create a passkey to sign in faster (disabled), Auto sign-in (disabled). Chrome -> ... -> Settings -> Autofill Services. Checked Autofill using another service (Enabled). Tapped Android Settings and this is the 3rd place I check next. Alternatively, I can get to it by navigating as per point 3. Android Home Screen -> Settings -> Passwords, passkeys and accounts -> 1Password (Preferred service) - Enabled. Additional services: Microsoft Authenticator (disabled), Google (disabled). Can you put in checks in place please so this doesn't happen? If Google is doing something naughty, can you please work with them to resolve this? Please? Besides this, my experience on Android has been a mixed bag. Some login prompts, 1Password will have no issues popping up offering to autofill. But the MAJORITY of apps and websites, 1Password Autofill simply doesn't do enough. I have to jump back and forth to copy and paste passwords. Please let me know how I can help you folks resolve this.217Views1like2CommentsPasskeys Not Working On Android 16
Hi all, I set up a Passkey for my government portal site on my PC. The Passkey works fine on both my PCs, but not on Android (16). How do I set up 1Password so it will use my Passkey on the government app on my phone? Or, is there a way to export my Passkey from 1Password to my phone? How do I get it working? Thanks :)218Views1like7CommentsPasskeys not working on the Mac
On iOS 26, I'm able to select 1Password as an AutoFill provider in the AutoFill & Passwords panel under Settings > General > AutoFill & Passwords. On macOS 26.0.1, I'm unable to select 1Password as an AutoFill provider under System Settings and this is preventing me from using passkeys in 1Password in Safari. I have tried disabling AutoFill entirely in System Settings but that didn't help at all. Instead, I get this extremely unhelpful "Choose how to manage your passkeys" dialog (see below) which gets me absolutely nowhere. How can I fix this? What can I do to allow 1Password to automatically handle all passkey and autofill requests correctly? iOS 26 - no issues with choosing 1Password macOS 26.0.1 - no way to select 1Password170Views0likes8CommentsSafari: "Scan QR Code" or "Use Security key" prompt when using a passkey
Hi, I setup my very first passkey using X.com. When I attempt to login I get this dialog with options to scan a QR code or use a security key. The sign in with pass key option in the upper right is greyed out and not clickable. Any idea what is going on? Sometimes if I am quick enough I can press the sign in button before the modal shows up.Solved67Views0likes10CommentsPixel 10 Pro Issues
I recently switched from an iPhone 16 to a Pixel 10 Pro and am experiencing significant functionality issues with 1Password that need to be addressed. The autofill feature is consistently unreliable. In Chrome, username and password autofill succeeds roughly half the time. When automatic filling fails, I have to manually click and hold to select "Autofill," which still frequently doesn't populate the form fields correctly. This forces me to open the 1Password app and manually copy credentials multiple times per day, which is both inefficient and frustrating. Native app integration has similar problems. Login functionality is inconsistent at best, and browser-based authentication within apps rarely works (I've had it succeed perhaps once since switching devices). Passkey functionality is particularly problematic. 1Password consistently fails to recognize available passkeys across multiple sites. This is reproducible every time I attempt to authenticate on Microsoft's website, where the passkey option simply doesn't function. Additionally, OTP codes still require manual copying and pasting rather than seamless integration. I've been a loyal 1Password user for years without experiencing these issues on iOS. The Android performance gap is substantial enough that it's affecting my daily workflow and making me reconsider the platform entirely. Could you please confirm whether your team is aware of these Android-specific issues and provide an estimated timeline for fixes? I need to understand if these problems are being actively addressed or if I should evaluate alternative solutions. I appreciate your time and look forward to your response.323Views2likes6CommentsWhat's the trick to creating passkeys when asked?
Hi there, I can create Passkeys for websites from within 1Password, but how do you create them when prompted on a site? See first screenshot attached, here's what I see while working in Facebook (for business). But if I click 'Create passkey' there's no option to use 1Password. The passkey seems to get created in the MacOS Password manager. Can 1Password create passkeys when a site asks? Or can you only create passkeys in 1Password first? See attached... 1Password has access in MacOS system settings 1Password is set as default password manager in Chrome But I can't choose 1Password as the app to 'Setup codes in' So passkeys seems o go to MacOS Passwords be default (clicking 'Open and fill passwords' in that last screenshot doesn't use 1Password) Any help much appreciated. Hello 1Password team and community, I am trying to determine whether it is currently possible to use a YubiKey (FIDO2/WebAuthn security key) to unlock the 1Password desktop application on macOS. Or if this is a feature in an upcoming release? I have configured my 1Password account to use my YubiKey FIDO2 hardware security keys as a second factor for signing in on new devices, and that passkey unlock (which could, in theory, use a security key–backed passkey) is still limited and not generally available in the stable macOS client. However, I have not been able to find a recent discussion that clearly addresses using a YubiKey directly as an unlock method for the macOS app. On my Mac (1Password 8 for Mac), under Settings → Security, the available Unlock options are: Unlock using Touch ID Unlock app with Mac password Unlock with device (for N hours) Require account password (after N days) I don’t see any option to configure a security key as part of unlock, and my expectation would be an additional option under “Unlock” for a security key or keys, similar to how Touch ID and device unlock are presented. My questions: Is there any supported way today to use a YubiKey FIDO2 security key to unlock the 1Password desktop app on macOS (either directly, or via a generally available passkey-unlock configuration)? If not, is this capability on the roadmap for standard accounts, and is there any guidance or timeline that can be shared? Are there any current betas or experimental features that already support this on macOS that I should be aware of? Thank you in advance for any clarification. 1Password for Mac 8.11.24 (81124015) macOS 26.1 (25B78)19Views0likes0CommentsWhat is the procedure to transfer 1P to a new iPhone?
Hi, I will be purchasing a new iPhone and based on my searches, I believe all that I have to do is setup 1P on my new iPhone, login, and then it will be ready after it syncs. However, what I'm uncertain about, though, is that in my case, I will be backing up my old iPhone and restoring it onto my new iPhone, so that I retain the setup and apps that I have on my old iPhone. After the restore onto my new iPhone and when I boot it, what do I need to do to get 1P activated on this new iPhone (and deactivated on the old iPhone)? Thanks!Solved19Views0likes3CommentsUnable to create and save a passkey in Costco android app
