passkeys
172 TopicsPasskey save into new entry is only showing the 2nd level of the domain, not the full RPlevel name
When you create a passkey in 1Password, and you select "New" or even the update existing, it shows the name of the entry as "Domain", such as in my case "Philcon" for philcon.org. But the name field passed into the passkey creation is "Philcon Portal". It gets the RP level correct in the entry it saves as the hostname section. This causes the problem that we have many passkey items for Philcon. And they are at different sites. reg.philcon.org artist.philcon.org vendor.philcon.org And we pass in for the name the 'source' of the passkey request (reg -> portal, artist -> artist, vendor -> vendor) However when 1Password stores the entry it doesn't let you set the name of the item it just forces it to Philcon. Second: even if you go edit the entry name, it displays it as "Philcon" and not the name of the entry, such that we can't tell them apart. Thus when it suggests the passkey back, we have a hard time telling which one to choose. I often have had several "Philcon" passkeys with the same email address show up and I can't tell them apart. So I guess this two fold: 1. Is there a way to control this 2. If not, I think this is a feature enhancement request to allow us to set the name on the save of the new entry, and to display the entry name on the choice of which passkey to use.3Views0likes0Comments1Password safari extension & Upwork
Whenever I login to uptown, the 1password safari extension is asking me to store a passkey. Trouble is, UpWork doesn't support passkeys: If I hit save I get: If I "X-out" of the "Save Passkey" dialog, it pops up again every time a new page is loaded. Problem does not exist with Firefox. Macos: 15.6.1 1 Password: 8.11.18 (81108040) 1Password for Safari: 8.11.8.40 I'm assuming this is a bug?Solved70Views1like6CommentsPasskeys Not Working on Android – Always Falls Back to Google, Despite Troubleshooting
Hi 1Password team and community, I'm a long-time 1Password user on Android, and while password autofill works perfectly, passkeys have never worked for me except for one random instance (can't recall the app). Currently, passkeys fail across all my browsers and apps, always falling back to Google's password/passkey manager with no apparent way to bypass or force 1Password. Here's what I've tried: Browsers: Brave, Chrome, Edge, and Firefox – no passkey autofill or creation in any of them. Apps: Tested in various passkey-supported apps, but it always defaults to Google. Troubleshooting: Uninstalled/reinstalled 1Password, cleared cache, toggled autofill settings in Android (set 1Password as default autofill service), and reset passkey manager preferences. I'm using the latest 1Password version available on Google Play Store (v8.10.x or newer). Device: Samsung S25 Ultra running Android 15. It's super frustrating as I'd love to use passkeys for better security, but I'm at a loss here. Has anyone else seen this issue, especially on Android 15 or Samsung devices? Any fixes, workarounds, or known bugs? Would appreciate any help! Thanks6Views0likes0CommentsAllow copying as pasting a passkey
While enabling passkeys, 1Password has created many new entries for each web site, but with a passkey. Now, I have two entries per site. One with a passkey, and one with all other info. I want to keep my password (because the site does), and apply domain settings, or other info to the passkey entry too. Since 1Password has yet to get a merge feature, I need to copy paste stuff to another entry. But, the thing is, copying everything to the entry with the passkey takes forever. If we could copy paste the passkey to the older entry, it would be tremendously useful and save us a lot of time. I know passkeys themselves can't be "copied" per se, but all I need is a simulation of a copy paste so I can move the passkey entry to the right place.13Views0likes1CommentPixel 10 Pro Issues
I recently switched from an iPhone 16 to a Pixel 10 Pro and am experiencing significant functionality issues with 1Password that need to be addressed. The autofill feature is consistently unreliable. In Chrome, username and password autofill succeeds roughly half the time. When automatic filling fails, I have to manually click and hold to select "Autofill," which still frequently doesn't populate the form fields correctly. This forces me to open the 1Password app and manually copy credentials multiple times per day, which is both inefficient and frustrating. Native app integration has similar problems. Login functionality is inconsistent at best, and browser-based authentication within apps rarely works (I've had it succeed perhaps once since switching devices). Passkey functionality is particularly problematic. 1Password consistently fails to recognize available passkeys across multiple sites. This is reproducible every time I attempt to authenticate on Microsoft's website, where the passkey option simply doesn't function. Additionally, OTP codes still require manual copying and pasting rather than seamless integration. I've been a loyal 1Password user for years without experiencing these issues on iOS. The Android performance gap is substantial enough that it's affecting my daily workflow and making me reconsider the platform entirely. Could you please confirm whether your team is aware of these Android-specific issues and provide an estimated timeline for fixes? I need to understand if these problems are being actively addressed or if I should evaluate alternative solutions. I appreciate your time and look forward to your response.104Views1like2CommentsUnable to create and save a passkey in Costco android app
I am getting the error message when trying to create a passkey in the Costco android app on my Samsung S22 Ultra phone: "Unable to save passkey. For security reasons, 1Password did not save this passkey. The associated URL for this passkey does not match the selected app."317Views4likes4CommentsPasskeys Not Working On Android 16
Hi all, I set up a Passkey for my government portal site on my PC. The Passkey works fine on both my PCs, but not on Android (16). How do I set up 1Password so it will use my Passkey on the government app on my phone? Or, is there a way to export my Passkey from 1Password to my phone? How do I get it working? Thanks :)53Views0likes2Comments
