Hi, We’re using 1Password for Windows 8.12.1 and we’ve noticed a regression: drag & drop of the password into the Windows RDP credential popup no longer works, while drag & drop into other windows/apps still works as usually. Steps to reproduce Start an RDP session locally (mstsc / Remote Desktop Connection) The Windows credential/login popup appears Try to drag & drop the password from 1Password into the password field Expected Password is dropped/typed into the password field (this used to work for us) But nothing happens / the drop is ignored (drag & drop works elsewhere). The cursor changes, but thats it. I am using Windows 11 Question Is this a known issue/regression in 8.12.x, or is this due to Windows/RDP secure input handling? Any recommended fix or setting?74Views0likes2CommentsWindows Hello opens in background and doesn't function correctly
The last 3 days windows hello (in use with 1 password) doesn't accept input. And somehow caps lock is on even though the keyboard doesn't show it on. I saw that this was an issue a year ago, but it just occurred again with my system. I am on Win 11, with the latest updates, no VPN, using Chrome with the browser extension. I then get repeated requested to enter my full 1Password credentials. However after an hour, the timeout for 1Password, the same problem occurs. I have tried un enabling and then re enabling 1Password, to no effect. I also rebooted and then ran a full Microsoft Virus scan, but nothing was found.Solved1.5KViews12likes72CommentsSupport Ticket ID 533210 stalled at automated message acknowledgment
A failed password change caused havoc Sunday, March 15, 2026. My account is now offline, but unable to reconnect. I have my secret key, my recovery code and the "new" password ready. How do I get movement on it? Thank you.Solved18Views0likes1Comment[Feature Request] Automatic Editing
When 1Password's window is opened, it would be best if the fields were immediately editable. There is no good reason to keep them from being editable. When someone opens 1Password, there are 2 major reasons. One, they are looking to check the password or possibly something in their notes. Two, they need to edit something about the entry. I've noticed that when I need to edit, it takes longer than I had to in KeePassXC, my previous password manager. More importantly, it's a lot more tedious. I first have to move my mouse up and right to the edit button. Move words and sentences around, cutting and pasting. Frequently, I have to move data from one entry to another. To do that, I have to press edit and then cut. I can't simply go to the other entry. I have to press save so I can go to another entry. Then I have to press edit again for the 2nd entry. After pasting or cutting, I have to go back to the 1st entry. Again, I have to press save and then edit. There are just way too many times I have to press save and edit! It's truly needless. I think 1Password's development team should focus on trying to minimize the number of clicks and mouse movements that need to be made to accomplish each task. This is what separates the best apps from the mediocre ones. For example, when I open 1Password, I have to press Control f to start searching for my password. Instead, the focus and cursor should be immediately in the search field. This way, I can immediately type the password I'm looking for. If I need to edit something, I can just move my mouse once to the pertinent field. I don't have to press edit. One movement of pressing edit doesn't seem bad right now, but they soon add up fast so that it makes navigating and editing tedious.7Views0likes0Commentsstuck in full screen mode
For one of my Windows machines, 1Password now only operates in full screen mode, thus hiding the Windows taskbar. The only way out once 1Password is open (with a mouse) is to close the app. It does go back to normal mode temporarily while the Settings windows is open, but reverts to full screen once it closes. Restarting the machine doesn't help. Any suggestions before I uninstall/reinstall? I'm editing the post, since it appears I can't delete it. Treating this as a Windows problem to solve rather than a 1Password problem did the trick. As google instructed, F11 took care of it. 1Password Version: 8.7.3 Extension Version: Not Provided OS Version: Win11 Browser:_ Not Provided3KViews5likes15CommentsHow to export secondary vaults?
I am having trouble exporting my 1Password vaults. I have a families account and have secondary vaults for each family member. When I export my family vault, I only get items exported from my default vault. This happens even if I have view + manage set for all of the secondary vaults. When I export a secondary vault CSV and go into the excel file, none of the items from the secondary vault are there. I have tried clicking on the vault, then doing the three dots, then export. I have tried changing the default save vault then doing the three dots then export. All of them just export my primary vault. What am I doing wrong? My Tags are sorted alphabetically in the left column but in the drop down box when adding a tag to a record my order is random and so I have scroll down the entire list to find what I want or if I need to create a new tag. Am I doing something wrong or is this another feature in 1P8 design decision to make the experience simpler? 1Password Version: Not Provided Extension Version: Not Provided OS Version: Not Provided Browser:_ Not Provided228Views0likes7CommentsHow to use Passkeys on Temp Device
If i made a passkey for some site on my phone, lets say github, and then I needed to log into github from someone else's computer, there's a way to do that. you click passkey on different device, then it generates a QR code that you scan with your phone, then my phone asks for a thumbprint or my PIN and then i click yes and the site logs in. not my favorite user flow, but it exists and it works now lets assume instead that my github passkey is in 1password. my 1password is not on the device that i need to log in on. how do i log into github now? since 1password works pretty different on PC and on Android, if the answer is different i'd like both.189Views0likes9Comments1Password using wrong accent color on Windows 10
With the most recent update (1Password for Windows 8.11.16 (81116035)), the app started using the wrong accent color when set to system default. This applies to any accent color, not just the default blue. See the attached screenshot, which shows the Windows accent color next to the 1Password app (using the wrong color).354Views3likes7CommentsWhy is windows hello popping up?
Howdy guys, I'm looking for some help with regards to passkeys and windows hello. I have windows hello disabled in the settings yet it pops up everytime at dell.com (I have a passkey for dell but I do NOT want windows hello unlocking my passkeys in 1password) I've included a screenshot with all the settings. It's weird. Also there are no locally stored passkeys except for my windows account passkey. Any ideas? Thanks.Solved35Views1like3Comments
