This error usually indicates that your local database is currently in a state where it can't be opened. It's difficult to say what may have caused this without getting a closer look at your logs - however it can often be something like a crash, an interrupted update, or interference from security software.
The steps below will force 1Password to download a fresh copy of your data, which should get things working again:
1. Check you can log in on our website, 1Password.com, and that your data there is complete.
2. It's very important to make sure you have everything you need to sign back into the app, for example a copy of your Emergency Kit with your password filled in, and if your account uses two-factor authentication, access to your authenticator app or hardware security key.
3. Confirm that no 1Password processes are running, and close any related error messages.
4. Open the Windows Start Menu, paste this code into the search field, and press Enter: %LOCALAPPDATA%\1Password
5. In the File Explorer window that appears, right click 1password.sqlite, click rename, and change the filename to 1password-old.sqlite.
6. Launch 1Password, and sign back in to your account.
If this doesn't resolve the issue, please email in to support@1password.com with a link to this thread and your forum username, and our team will be happy to investigate further.
Let me know how this goes!
