1Password quits unexpectedly on both Windows 10 and Windows 11
For me that happened on every Windows machine I had 1Password installed so far. Both Win 10 and Win 11. The behaviour is always the same: The error pops up only after a fresh restart of the device....

Hi 1P_Dave,
in the meantime I found that deleting the files in C:\Users<USER>\AppData\Local\1Password\crashes fixed the issue. I'm not sure if a diagnostics report will still help you?
The deletion of those files helped on all devices and OSs but what triggered this behaviour in the first place (independently on every device) is still a mystery to me.
For now the behaviour didn't occur again.

3 months agoHi rububble!
I'm glad to hear that the error no longer occurs. When a crash report can't be sent, either because of a network issue or because the Send later option was chosen, 1Password will retry each time the device is restarted. That retry is likely what triggered the message you were seeing, which explains why clearing the folder helped.
Without a crash report present, a diagnostics report won't contain much useful information. However, if the issue returns on any of your devices, be sure to choose the option to Report on the error message, then email in with a diagnostics report (following the instructions provided by my colleague Dave) and the team will be happy to take a closer look.
If you have any further questions or concerns, let us know!

Hey 1P_Gem!
This sound like it could be the case. Thanks for the info.
It's unlikely to be a network issue and I never used the "send later" option either but I escaped or closed the window, so maybe this had the same result as "send later"- 1P_Gem3 months ago

Hi rububble, you're very welcome! You're right that escaping or closing the error window would have the same result. Now that the crash report has been removed, if the message appears again at any point, that would indicate a new crash has occurred. If that happens, don't hesitate to reach out so we can investigate further.
