1Password (Safari) not recognising web url
I have started noticing that 1Password does not seem to recognise the url and prompt me with usernames and passwords. The url is correct but I have to manually open the 1Password app and copy /paste the values. An example url would be https://login.microsoftonline.com

I have a simple example which illustrates what is happening. I have a router which I access using a https url although it is not a site with a certificate. On Chrome the 1Password browser extension works and populates the username and password. On Safari I see the icon for 1Password in the username/password fields but they do nothing when I click on them. On the toolbar I can click the 1Password icon and it brings up the appropriate username and password but the autofill does not work.

Thank you for the descriptive example. When 1Password for Safari stops working, can you tell me if opening a new tab gets things working in the new tab? Or does restarting Safari resolve the issue (at least temporarily)? I suspect that you're running into a known issue and your answer will help me to confirm this.

Yes - if I have the problem - then copy the url to a new tab - then it works ok.

Hello davegarratt! 👋
I'm sorry that you're not seeing your login credentials being suggested in Safari. Can you double-check that you have the appropriate website address added to the item in question. If you do have the website address saved in the item in 1Password then can you tell me the following:
- Is the suggestion missing in the inline filling menu that appears on the page when clicking on the username or password field on the website? Or is the suggestion missing in the pop-up when clicking on the 1Password icon in your browser's toolbar? Or both?
- If you completely close both Safari and 1Password and then open them up again then do you see suggestions appear?
- Does this happen on every website? Or just some?
I look forward to hearing from you.-Dave

I have determined that this only seems to happen in Safari. Chrome is ok. Also when using Safari I can see the 1Password symbol next to the username and password field but it does nothing when I click on it. Now - if I click on the 1Password Icon on the browser toolbar it opens the 1Password window, identifies the appropriate password entry on screen but the AutoFill button does not fill anything. Strange.

I'm sorry that filling isn't working in Safari. Can you try the following:
- Close all open web browsers.
- Right-click on the 1Password icon at the top of your Mac's screen and then click Quit. Wait until the icon disappears.
- Double-click on 1Password from your Mac's Applications folder.
- Open Safari.
If that doesn't fix the issue, I'd like to ask you to create a diagnostics report from 1Password in your browser:
Send a diagnostics report (browser extension)
