Control which items can be synced by the device
A feature is needed to control the synchronization of different 1Password items across different devices. For example, on an iPad, only sync items related to entertainment apps such as Netflix, as the iPad is for children and their friends to play with, and I don't want them to access more sensitive information. On the computer, only sync work - related items, as the computer is sometimes briefly used by partners, and I don't want them to access my personal credentials. Then, the web - based 1Password, as the general control panel, requires re - entering the account password to access. It's a bit like the travel mode, but the travel mode control can't be specified for individual devices.

Hello BKLyoBvt! 👋
Thanks for reaching out! If you're using 1Password Families, then I would recommend using a guest account for this purpose: Share with guests in 1Password Families
You can share an individual vault with the guest account and then sign into a device like the iPad for the kids using that guest account. This will give the iPad access to items in that individual vault but not to any other items.
I hope that helps.

Use 1Password’s vaults to organize and sync specific items (e.g., entertainment for iPad, work for PC) and enable two-factor authentication for web access; device-specific sync control isn’t available yet.
