Date format inconsistency when setting an alert
Are all the date format entry/display problems EVER going to be fixed??
It's now a whopping 4+ YEARS at least since these have been a problem, and ALL fields (including the relatively new Alerts f...

Thank you for following up. I've merged your comments into one thread so that we can keep the conversation in one place. Please avoid posting about the same issue in multiple threads at once and bumping old threads just to link to your new thread.
I'm sorry for the frustration caused by date formatting issues in the 1Password app, I know how important it is for the date to be rendered accurately and consistently and this is something that our developers are actively working on. Many of the date format issues that have been reported in the past have been resolved. A few months ago our team released improved date formatting in the 1Password desktop app which resolved an issue where there was inconsistency with how the desktop application has handled date formats when viewing and editing items. We've also now ensured that dates are set using your system's preferred language rather than 1Password's display language.
There are still a few outstanding issues left to address, including some of the issues that you mentioned, and we hope to also support customizations to the date format made through macOS in the future. I'll respond to the specific issues that you mentioned below:
See how the date 2 September 2027 appears on one field (as: 02/09/2027) yet on the related Alert field directly underneath it completely differently (as: August 26, 2027)! ...
This is a known issue that we have an open work item for in our developer's backlog and I've added your comments there.
Even more bizarre, given my system settings on all my devices are set as a third way to show differently again (as: 2027.09.02.Thu)!!
1Password for Mac should display all date fields (aside from the known issue that I mentioned above) using the date format associated with your preferred language. So that I can better understand the situation, can you post a screenshot of your current language settings: macOS System Settings app > General > Language & Region. Take a screenshot of this screen.
I look forward to hearing from you.

With all due respect, your colleagues may have tried to release improved date formatting but one read through that thread tells anyone reading it –including 1P forum staffers– that said fixes simply didn't work properly. Hence why users including myself are increasingly frustrated that these issues persist over many years now, and are not being addressed as a matter of urgency by now.

Not sure why you're re-asking for info that should have been added to any internal bug tracking system on your end, given I already gave 1Password that info in screenshots on a thread from months ago(!), right here:
New feature "set expiry alert" - BUT WHERE IS IT?
This is precisely why we're all annoyed. Info has been given to 1P multiple times by multiple users (simply read through the 128 threads I listed in my original post above!), yet we're still being asked to show our OS settings screenshots repeatedly, as if you've not already been made aware of them!

Thank you for the reply and for linking to your reply in the older thread from eight months ago. I'm sorry for missing that.
From the screenshot in that older thread, I see that you're using English (UK) as your preferred/primary language which corresponds with the following date format: DD/MM/YYYY
This date format, associated with your preferred language, is the date format that the 1Password desktop app will currently use on the Mac for all date fields but the expiry alert notice. At the moment, 1Password doesn't support customizations of the date format so if you change "Date format" in macOS settings to YYYY.MM.DD that won't be reflected in the app. Hopefully we can introduce support for customizations like this in the future.

Though I can't understand why 1P is insisting on using the country usage setting, rather the more precise "Date format" the user has actually chosen themselves as wanting to use in their settings (macOS/iOS/iPadOS).
Most others in that thread made exactly that point months ago too, eg:
