New Feature "Expiry date" - Where is the alert?
I would like to know if I just don't understand it or if it doesn't work. I have added a date to an item and set an alarm for the day before. But no alarm appears on the day of the alarm?! I can o...

I'm sorry that the "alert" is expected only in the item details view or the Watchtower section currently. I understand it might be ignored easily.
Therefore, I shared your feedback and filed a feature request accordingly for our team to improve the feature. Thank you for bringing it to our attention.

All feedback is shared with, and considered by, our product team. We don't have a public voting system for feature requests since that could give the wrong impression that features are built only based on what has the most "votes" at a given time. Voting systems are also prone to being gamed. Discussions such as this allow us to better understand the need for specific features.

Apart from here, Is this anyway we can monitor the progress of this being rolled out as a feature ?
Having alert notification would be great but also sent as an event which can then be monitored through a SIEM.

PB-50512059 Any API or account that has an expiration date set in a vault item. I'd like to suggest having an option to send an email notification or an event message for any customer who has an integrated SIEM for upcoming expiration. If we had the capability of setting alert time like number of days before expiry, this could be evaluated with the expiration date on a daily basis. It's similiar to what is available in Watchtower but means we get notified rather than having to check and allows for some degree of separation between 1Password admin and admins who maintain accounts/APIs. Hope this is useful.
Anything (and everything!) that has a date. I'd love to have notifications through the desktop notification framework (eg, the one on macOS), email, or a hook URL.
