No passkeys available

EVERY time I log into 1Password on my Android phone, using biometrics, I get this prompt with the additional information:

There aren't any passkeys for 1Password on this device

along with an OK button and a "Use a different device" link.  I OK past it to find the Cloud connection disabled.  It's fairly event that passkey is required in order to sync with other devices.  Can't find any place within this app to establish a passkey -- too bad I can't read your developers' minds. 

Please point me in the right direction. . . .

    I have determined that the No Passkey reference is true, but misleading.  What the prompt intended to convey is that my device had no second factor for my 1Password profile.  I resolved the matter by signing into my profile with a Mac, which uses a security card (that is unusable with my device) for second factor, and configured an Authenticator app as an additional second factor (which my device is able to use).  Now, when I sign into 1Password with my device, the 2FA prompt provides Authenticator as an additional option, and I am good to go.

    Hi salv0​, thanks for your question. I'm sorry to hear there's been an issue signing in on your Android phone.

    It sounds like you might have set a passkey or security key as 2FA for 1Password. Are you currently using 2FA for your 1Password account, and if so, can you authenticate other 1Password apps with your 2FA method? I'd also like to ask if you can sign into your account on the 1Password website, 1password.com, on any of your devices? Thanks again!

      If I was currently using 2FA for my 1Password account, why am I not prompted for a Passkey or Security Card on my two Macs?  They get in with authentication-only.  For comparison, I have PayPal configured to use a Yubi card, which is always prompted for and access works fine on my Macs.  My Android 10 PayPal app initially prompts me with "Security keys only work on desktop devices. Go to your desktop and try again or choose another 2-step verification option", but unlike 1Password, it includes a choice to use an Authenticator which is my MO; I could do without the Security Key distraction, but at least I can still get in. 

      I don't, and have no desire to, use 2FA for 1Password.  My two Macs (macOS 12.7.5) authenticate (with no 2FA) and synchronize just fine.  All of my devices, Android 10, iPhone X (iOS v16.7.11) and iPad Air 3 (iPadOS v18.4) authenticate, but lack synchronization because I could not provide a Passkey that I never set up.  My two Apple devices are prompted with "Use Security Key. To continue with "1Password", insert and activate one of your security keys.  If you have an NFC key, bring it near the top of this iPhone." I suspect my (server side) account was separately updated with v8, and that is when this kind of trouble surfaced. 

      I am unable to sign into 1password.com from any of my three devices; my two Macs can.
