After I type in my password to unlock quick access, quick access disappears, sometimes leading me to type in the wrong application when I thought I should be searching for a password.

Is there any estimate on when this issue might be fixed? It's not the end of the world but it is a regular, minor annoyance, so it'd be great if it were fixable. Thanks!
Thank you for the detailed reproduction steps! I can indeed reproduce the same issue when following your steps and I've filed an internal work item with our development team so that they can investigate this further.
Hi 1P_Dave investigating a bit more, I believe I now have more reliable and detailed steps to reproduce when this happens. I noticed that this issue would go away if I quit Safari. I also have the 1Password for Safari 2.13.0 extension installed. Here are the new steps to reproduce, assuming you have the extension installed:
Open Safari, and navigate to a login page for some web site where the login is present in 1Password (I used Fidelity.com). But, do not log in or unlock 1Password. Just leave the window open at that page.
Switch to Finder, and follow the steps in my previous comment to open an encrypted disk image, open Quick Access with the keyboard shortcut, and then authenticate via TouchID.
If I do this, Quick Access disappears, and the Safari window gets brought to the foreground (so if the Finder window was in front of Safari before, after authenticating the Safari window gets pulled in front of the Finder window). If I quit Safari and try the steps again to open the encrypted disk image, everything works fine and the Quick Access window does not disappear.
Are you able to reproduce with the above steps? If not, let me know and I will send in the diagnostics report. Thanks!
Thank you for the detailed steps. I can't reproduce the same behaviour on either of the Macbooks that I have in front of me. Can you please try to reproduce the issue one more time after restarting your Mac. Then, so that we can investigate further, I'd like to ask you to create a diagnostics report from your Mac:
Unfortunately I am still able to reproduce this issue. Here are steps that consistently reproduce the problem for me. I'm on Mac and make use of encrypted disk images, storing my passwords in 1Password. I open an encrypted disk image by double-clicking on it in the Finder. Then a prompt appears to enter the password for the disk image. I press Command-Shift-Space to open Quick Access, and I see the following:
Notice that the "Use Account Password..." button is gray rather than blue; that may be relevant. I use Touch ID to authenticate, but then I do not see the Quick Access appear. The screen does flash a couple of times, so maybe it gets opened behind other apps? In any case, if I press Command-Shift-Space again, Quick Access opens fine (now that I've already authenticated).
I also tried again with clicking the prompt dialog above to give it focus, making the "Use Account Password..." button blue. After authenticating with Touch ID, this time I can see Quick Access for maybe a second, but then it disappears! That behavior was not what I expected.
Anyway, I hope the above information is helpful. Again this is on 1Password for Mac 8.10.9 (81009046) on macOS Ventura 13.5.
I can confirm that 1Password > Preferences (Settings) > General - Keep 1Password in the menu bar is enabled. I just got updated to 1Password for Mac 8.10.9 (81009046) and I was not able to reproduce this issue in one try. I will try more later and if it's still happening will post steps to reproduce.
Can you confirm if 1Password > Preferences (Settings) > General - Keep 1Password in the menu bar is enabled on your system? If not, can you enable it and does this provide any relief? It may help depending on the specific situation, but the issue at large remains open on our end. I apologize for the trouble.
