Search context isn't preserved across multiple searches

Thanks for following up on this. If you'd like to search just the vault you have selected, pressing ⌘+F when you're in a vault will limit the search to just that vault. Let me know how you get on with that.

I've basically had to go back to using 1Password 7 or the web interface so I can search in the specific vault. The only reason I click into a different vault is to search that one vault. If I wanted to search all, I would search when on the all vaults/accounts page.

Yes, I did stumble upon that feature and created a couple that group related vaults. I have over a dozen vaults and am loathe to create a collection for each individual one.

Have you considered using a collection? Use collections to create custom groups of vaults

This is frustrating to no end. When I select a Vault then click the Search box, it says "Search in All Accounts". I don't want to search all accounts, that's why I selected a Vault!

I just want to bump the original poster's concern. I assume it's a bug given that the standard web/app behavior is to preserve the search when results are displayed (as with this support site), but it's happened ever since upgrading to v8.
It can just be very annoying when trying to incrementally whittle down a search, or when trying to recall exactly what obscure term I might have searched for.

I'm on version 80703002 on macOS 12.4
