I've just upgraded to 1Password 8 and noticed the new search dropdown. For me this is not very practical as I'm searching through a very big vault and the dropdown contains too few results. So I'll have to use Command+Enter to get the full results.
A minor inconvenience so far. But since multiple people are working in the same vault there are often minor misspellings or differences in spelling (eg. abbreviations) which means I need to amend my query regularly. This, however, is not possible since when opening the full results the search field is empty.
Can this behaviour be changed so that the query remains in the search bar for as long as the user stays in the search view?
Thanks,
Rudi

+1 for this. I often will search for one thing, and then need to search for something similar, only changing 1 word of the search. This was super handy in 1Password 7.
For example, I would search for
to find my login to their database. Then I might need to search for to find their encryption key. Or some other variant. With hundreds of clients in our shared vaults, and each having dozens of entries, I'm searching all the time. Search is much more tedious in v8 than it was in v7.
