"Sign in with..." dialog appears on every page on gitlab.com
I have a gitlab.com account saved in 1password, connected to the browser extension in brave browser. I can sign in fine but while I'm signed in, every page I navigate to, 1password pops up a "sign...

Thank you for those details. One of our developers has been working on improving the login behind the "Sign in with" prompt and we're currently testing those improvements in the nightly version of 1Password in the browser.
Would you be willing to temporarily install the nightly version to see if it stops the issue that you're running into: 1Password Nightly – Password Manager
Make sure to disable the currently installed stable version of 1Password in the browser so that you're not running two versions at the same time. After testing, you can remove the nightly and go back to using the stable version.
If you still run into the issue when using the nightly, I'd like to ask you to create a diagnostics report from 1Password in your browser:
Send a diagnostics report (browser extension)
Attach the diagnostics to an email message addressed to support@1password.com
With your email please include:- A link to this thread: https://www.1password.community/discussions/1password/sign-in-with--dialog-appears-on-every-page-on-gitlab-com/153362

You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number. Please post that number here. Thanks very much!-Dave

I've tried:
- Enable "Don't automatically sign in" in the browser extension.
- Hide on this page
Neither of which work.
The only thing that works is removing the "sign in with" entries

5 months agoHello yottapanda! 👋
I'm sorry that you're seeing unexpected sign in with prompts on Gitlab even after having signed in. Our developers are currently working to improve the login behind when these prompts are shown.
That being said, I can't reproduce the same issue on Gitlab.com. Can you tell me which pages you're accessing to see the prompts? And can you tell me which browser you're using?

Hi Dave,
Yeah I'm using brave browser on MacOS. Everything's vaguely up to date.
I have not tried to recreate the issue on my Linux machine lately as the workaround has been survivable

Thanks for the reply. Can you tell me on which page you see the prompt? Even if you see it on every page, can you list at least one? And, when the issue occurs, are you signing into Gitlab using Google, Github, or some other way?

Hi Dave,
With just the GitHub linked to the login, it appears in my company's private org on 2 repos consistently and it's most pages within those 2 repos. On the rest, it doesn't appear anywhere.
Specifically, it appears on:
- https://gitlab.com/group/project/* (For arguments sake, it's every page, merge requests, pipelines, individual merge requests)
It does not appear at https://gitlab.com/group (same group). Nor does it appear on some of the other projects in that group. I have the same permissions in all the groups inherited from the group. I can't really find a difference.
Also the github "Sign in" button is greyed out.
The Google "sign-in with" is more interesting, the sign-in button is always blue and it takes me to a GCP integration page when clicked. I think it's specifically the artifact registry integration. I've got one repo without that but with the inherited GCP integration and it doesn't appear on that one.Hope this helps
