4 years agoStarting over with 1Password after a fling with another password manager ...
... specifically Enpass. I had imported my 1Password vault data to Enpass. No problem but I'm now wondering if I indeed should have stuck with Password. I have added some logins/etc. to the Enpass vault and am unsure of the best way to proceed.
I'm thinking a new 1Password vault, export the Enpass vault, then import it to 1Password? Or is there another process which would be better, more foolproof, whatever?

a) After trying Enpass for several weeks I'm wondering about some of the procedures in certain instances. I'm too lazy to elaborate nor is this relevant. I got a great deal on a lifetime license and took it just because I could and was curious. I have a current nice deal on my 1Password subscription (as much as I despise subscriptions! :D
b) Sounds like too much trouble when my proposed routine should work and would be but a few clicks? - MrCSuper Contributor

You can also use the enpass converter available in the https://1password.community/discussion/101693/moving-to-1password-from-another-password-manager. You'll want to export as JSON, but the README will guide you through the process.
The converter will produce a 1PIF, but you will need 1Password 7 to import that, as version 8 does not yet import. So you can temporarily install 1Password 7 and import. I'm assuming you have a 1Password account; your entries will sync, and they will be available to 1Password 8.

a) what's wrong with Enpass/why are you thinking "I should have stuck with 1P"?
b) just start using 1P again and either edit the existing passwords for the changes or just log into the new sites with your new info and let 1P build the new entries.
