Unable to open 1Password on Windows

What was the solution?  I am having a similar issue.  I can download the msixbundle file for the Windows Desktop App (required to import my passwords from LastPass), but it doesn't open and nothing happens when I click on it or direct it to 'open with' the App Installer.

I have Windows 11.

When I click on the MSIX file to open it, nothing happens.  It doesn't open/launch/etc.

I gave up trying to get it to work and just downloaded the installer from the Windows store instead of using the file I downloaded from the 1password website.

  • Hello LC123! 👋

Welcome to the community! I've split your post into a new thread since your issues looks a little different from the issue in that old thread.

I'm sorry that you're having trouble with 1Password on your Windows PC. Can you clarify if you were able to successfully install 1Password using the MSIX installer and now the app itself doesn't open? Or does the installer itself do nothing when you double-click on it?

If it's the installer itself that isn't working then can you restart your Windows PC and then try downloading a new copy of the installer from our website and try installing 1Password using the new installer: https://1password.com/downloads/windows

If that still doesn't work then let me know and I can help further.

I have the same issue.. trying to install on Windows Server 2022 and it has no idea what to do with an msixbundle file and is asking me what app to open it with. And it is a server OS so there is no Store.

Why can't I just download a simple .msi or .exe like every other Windows app has?!?
