Why do I keep getting “Login already saved” screens?!

Since the team at 1Password apparently no longer wants to offer a way to contact them, I guess I have to post here instead of their support staff actually helping.

A few weeks ago, I CONSTANTLY started getting these screens when logging into a website with a stored password or

WHY ON EARTH AM I GETTING THESE RIDICULOUS SCREENS?!

And HOW do I stop them?

I assume these were added in some update, but I cannot find any way to stop them.

I am about to cancel 1Password as a result.

HELP!

Thank you.

  • Hello kriknosretep! 👋

I'm sorry that you're seeing an unexpected prompt after filling a login. This is a known issue that can occur when you use the 1Password for Mac desktop app's Universal Autofill feature  (Command-Backslash) when 1Password for Safari (the browser extension) is also installed. I've added your report to the internal work item open with the team.

For the time being, until the issue is resolved, I recommend the following workaround:

    1. Open your browser.
    2. Right-click the 1Password icon in the toolbar, then choose "Settings".
    3. In the "Notifications" section, turn off "Allow 1Password to show unlock notifications".

If the issue continues to occur after following these steps then let me know.

You can use the steps mentioned by AJCxZ0 to reach our support team via email. Alternatively, members of our support team (such as myself!) are here in the community and we're happy to help. 😊

Welcome to 1Password Support >Get help leads to may articles which point to the canonical support@1password.com for contacting support.

Be sure to identify your 1Password client and browser plugin versions in addition to your browser and platform when describing what you did, what happened when you did it, and how that differed from what you expect or want.
