Hi, all our devices are offline and unable to connect to 1password and sync. On Android devices we are seeing a red cloud with a line through it, on 1Password app on windows constant spinning wheel where online status should be. Also, if trying to connect in Chrome browser, Chrome responds that that the server is not responding correctly. I am assuming that all these issues are connected. Is anyone else experiencing the same issue? Thanks in advance for any assistance.54Views0likes10CommentsUnable to create and save a passkey in Costco android app
I am getting the error message when trying to create a passkey in the Costco android app on my Samsung S22 Ultra phone: "Unable to save passkey. For security reasons, 1Password did not save this passkey. The associated URL for this passkey does not match the selected app."420Views5likes7CommentsOngoing Autofill Issues on Android
Hi, I've been a long-time user of 1Password, and up until recently, the experience has been excellent. However, for the past few months, the Android experience has significantly deteriorated. Autofill suggestions rarely appear, and when they do, they often fail to work as expected. Most of the time, I have to long-press the input field, select “Autocomplete,” and hope the suggestions show up—which they usually don’t. Even when suggestions do appear, tapping them often results in no action at all. I frequently have to force close Chrome and reopen it just to try again, usually without success. As a result, I now almost always end up copying each field manually from the 1Password app, which is extremely frustrating. I’ve tested this with two different keyboards. My primary keyboard is SwiftKey, where the suggestions fail to appear 90% of the time. Gboard performs slightly better, but even then, tapping suggestions often does nothing. This issue has persisted for months, and it's becoming a serious pain point. I'm honestly beginning to question the value of maintaining a paid subscription if such core functionality continues to be this unreliable. Please look into this—it really needs to be addressed. Thanks.2.1KViews6likes29CommentsAdd support for Vanadium (the default browser of GrapheneOS) to the android app
Hello, I am a privacy-focused individual and am using GrapheneOS to reduce the tracking Google and Google Play Services can do. Can you please raise a ticket to add Vanadium as a supported browser? Its based on Chromium and the patches that are made to Chromium can be viewed https://github.com/GrapheneOS/Vanadium. Most of it is just upstream Chromium, as such it has the same support for autofill that Chromium has. Thank you!21Views1like0CommentsHow to use Passkeys on Temp Device
If i made a passkey for some site on my phone, lets say github, and then I needed to log into github from someone else's computer, there's a way to do that. you click passkey on different device, then it generates a QR code that you scan with your phone, then my phone asks for a thumbprint or my PIN and then i click yes and the site logs in. not my favorite user flow, but it exists and it works now lets assume instead that my github passkey is in 1password. my 1password is not on the device that i need to log in on. how do i log into github now? since 1password works pretty different on PC and on Android, if the answer is different i'd like both.76Views0likes6CommentsSeptember at 1Password: Browser versions, enhanced security, and new integrations
Welcome to your monthly roundup of what’s going on in the world of 1Password! Minimum browser versions increasing On October 14, 2025, we’ll be increasing the minimum Chrome/Chromium and Firefox versions required to use 1Password.com and the 1Password Browser Extension. The new minimum version requirements will be as follows: Chrome 128 Firefox 128 Edge 128 Brave 1.69.x Existing installations of the browser extension will continue to work, but affected devices will no longer receive updates until the minimum browser version has been met. New options for autofill confirmation prompts We’ve added some new security settings to the 1Password browser extension to improve security. You can now enable a confirmation prompt to appear before credentials are autofilled, helping to prevent accidental autofilling to malicious websites. A corresponding policy is also available for Administrators so they can enable this for their users. New integration for 1Password and ZScaler We recently launched a new integration between 1Password Device Trust and Zscaler to help organizations strengthen their Zero Trust security. This powerful combination ensures that employees can only access company applications from devices where the Zscaler agent is correctly installed and running. It’s a crucial step to automatically enforce security policies across all devices – including unmanaged ones – reducing your attack surface and securing your distributed workforce. Random but Memorable episodes in September How to build a career in cybersecurity with Heath Adams How cyber warfare really works with Hayley Benedict "Top skills right now, I think AI is dominating everywhere. I think that cloud is here to stay and just going to become more and more prominent... any sort of like cloud security, if you combine cloud security background with offensive security background, you're you're a golden ticket for a hire." – Heath Adams, The Cyber Mentor Release note highlights Browser Extension Fixed a bug so that 1Password remembers your list sorting preferences. We’ve added the message “1Password wants to fill your credit card details on [website name]” to the authorization prompt to fill credit card details. We’ve removed the hamburger menu from the toolbar in the 1Password pop-up. Notifications and options such as “Lock 1Password” and “Settings” are now available in a side panel, which you can open from the account menu in the top left of the pop-up. We’ve fixed an issue where the “Save passkey” prompt appeared unexpectedly on certain websites. Mac, Windows, and Linux Fixed a bug so that 1Password remembers your list sorting preferences. SSO fixes for authentication and handling email address changes. Updated dependencies to fix some bugs and improve the app’s stability. The “Scan QR code” button now works as expected when you create or edit an item. [Mac only]: We’ve fixed an issue with biometric unlock for MDM-managed devices. iOS and Android Fixed a bug so that 1Password remembers your list sorting preferences. SSO fixes for authentication and handling email address changes.564Views0likes10CommentsNew Feature "Expiry date" - Where is the alert?
I would like to know if I just don't understand it or if it doesn't work. I have added a date to an item and set an alarm for the day before. But no alarm appears on the day of the alarm?! I can only see that the item is expiring or about to expire when I navigate to the item itself or look in the watchtower. However, I understand "alert" to mean something else. My expectation is that there is either a notification from 1Password or I at least get some kind of indication on the main screen, e.g. a newly introduced category "expired" with a red 1 on it or something. Is there anything else planned, as I don't find it very helpful as it is now.Solved2.3KViews9likes33Comments1Password helps author a new standard for secure credential transfer
Migrating credentials no longer has to mean insecure plaintext files or vendor lock-in. That’s why we’re proud to share that the FIDO Alliance has published the Credential Exchange Format (CXF) as a Proposed Standard, co-edited in part by contributors from 1Password. This new format gives providers a consistent JSON-based way to transfer credentials securely between services and represents a real move away from CSV exports. CXF lays the groundwork for secure migration across services without exposing sensitive data or forcing people to rely on ad-hoc export tools. It supports a wide range of credentials from passwords, passkeys, SSH keys, TOTPs, payment cards, Wi-Fi credentials, API keys, and more — and creates a path for providers to handle transfers in a more consistent way. Early support for CXF is already starting to land across the industry. Apple has introduced APIs for bulk credential import and export, Google is doing the same on Android, and 1Password and other FIDO members have already demonstrated cross-platform passkey transfers using the format. Read more about the work behind this milestone, the contributors involved, and what comes next in the full blog post. Got questions about the Credential Exchange Format?
