1Password at work

I often have one-off items to share with people at the company that don't necessitate creating a whole vault for.  For example, we use an online form design tool that I want the HR person to have access to, but it's an item that lives in the IT vault.  I'm not sharing the entire IT vault, but I also don't want to share the item via a sharing link since that creates a new, unsynchronized item.  If I update the password or add a note, I have to remember who I've shared the item with and make sure to send them the updated version. It would be helpful if there was a way to share a single item with another person or group, regardless of which vault it lives in.  There could be a specialty vault called "Shared With Me" for anything shared like this.  There could also be a category or tag for "Items I've Shared".Think OneDrive/SharePoint file sharing.  There are company-wide file buckets, and individual employee file buckets.  I can easily share a single, edi

When creating a share link for an SSH key this is what I see as the recipient.  if I click copy, I get nothing moved to the clipboard,  I have to select reveal, tripple click the start of the key which highlights all of it including the part I can't see, and then I can paste it somewhere.  I tested on windows 11, Chrome, Firefox, and BraveCopying the public key or the fingerprint work fine.It would be nice to be able to optionally "export" the key the same way the 1pass application can, but I would settle for the copy button working.

Hello,We have a user that was put into recovery and completed their steps via email. However, when an admin tries to complete the recovery, this error pops up.This has been consistent over the past 48 hours for this specific user. We use Azure SSO with a SCIM.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey everyone! We’re starting to plan a new series of in-person 1Password user events for 2026, and we’d really love your input as we shape them. Our goal is to create events that are genuinely useful for the people who use 1Password every day. That could mean practical security sessions, deep dives into specific features, conversations with the people who build the product, or opportunities to connect with other admins and security folks in your area. To make sure we focus on what would actually be valuable, we’ve put together a short survey. Your feedback will help us decide things like: What topics we should cover What format would be most helpful What would make an event worth attending for you It only takes a couple of minutes, and it will directly influence how these events come together. 👉 Take the survey here Thanks in advance for sharing your thoughts. We’re excited about the possibility of bringing the community together in person and your feedback will help us make sure we

I have a situation where we want to allow access to a specific vault when they're using a given source IP. When coming from that same IP, we would want to block access to all other vaults. When using other IPs, we would want to grant full access. It doesn't appear to be doable now, but I would like to put in a feature request.

Hello,I’m a Level 2 Helpdesk Engineer, and I’m currently assisting a client who uses a personal 1Password subscription for both personal and business purposes. The issue is that the 1Password extension isn’t working in his Work profile in Microsoft Edge (the one with the briefcase icon). The extension is unable to communicate with the 1Password desktop app, so it never unlocks. Interestingly, this works fine in Chrome — the extension stays unlocked and communicates with the app without any issues. So far, the only troubleshooting I’ve done is ensuring that both browsers are added/allowed in the 1Password app. I haven’t tried any additional steps yet.TLDR; 1Password Personal and Work Edge (business account) can't talk. Chrome can, and they're both added to the 1password browser list.Win11 25h21Pass Latest1PassExt Latest

Hi,I have by misstake deleted the wrong user in our 1Password Teams Standard.Everywhere i look for a solution, the answer is contact mailto:support@1password.comUnfortunately there is no answer since a week now. I mailed several times and also by the bot, but no answer or other reaction than the standard one, that a ticket is made.Is there an other solution to fix my problem or an other way to get in tough with 1Password for this? best regards Remko.

I have many accounts for a business app on the same domain. When I update a password, the Save Login dialogue opens with all the logins listed with a radio button alongside it.  Most times 1P defaults the selection correctly, however the item is buried halfway down a long list.  There is also no quick search option for me to filter the list for the one I need to update.I am also not sure why it is offering me so many options, when I have the custom Autofill to only be on this exact host?

Hello, I have 1Password where I have a Personal account and a Business account. My new client wants me to join her account. When I click the "accept invite" button, it doesn't give me a choice to sign in - only to register. Is there a way that I can add the client's 1Password account to my current 1Password? That way I won't have to sign in and out again. I'm on a MAC. Thank you!

Hey all,New to 1Password for Business, long time 1Password personal user.I've just kicked off migration of legacy password manager (on-prem) for about 500 users in a Microsoft Intune full cloud environment. Our org has strict management over our Windows 11 devices... (you know, any HR opportunity to educate staff starts with I.T doing all the work with tech removing any need to teach users how to do something)I need to manage the browser extension, the usual default save vault location and watchtower etc.i thought i was on a winner with MDM ADMX - https://support.1password.com/mobile-device-management/?windows#appendix-set-the-default-vault-for-saving-new-items but this looks to be the full app rather that anything for the extension? How can i directly manage the extension via Intune?

There's no point to remote in if I can't use the Windows 1Password.

Hi everyone,We're evaluating 1Password for our organization and need to deploy it in a Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environment. I've read through the deployment documentation, but I'd like to get some clarity on a few points from the community or 1Password team. Our scenario:Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (mix of persistent and non-persistent VDI)Windows Server-based session hostsUser profiles managed via FSLogix / Citrix Profile ManagementQuestions:Non-persistent VDI: What's the recommended approach for non-persistent/pooled desktops where the VM is reset after each session? Is it sufficient to persist the local data folder via FSLogix or Profile Management, or are there additional considerations?Multi-session hosts (RDSH): Is 1Password supported on multi-session Windows Server environments where multiple users share the same server? Are there any known limitations?Browser extension: Does the browser extension work reliably in VDI scenarios, especially when connecting to a local

I recently setup Duo SSO. I have one user who missed the deadline to sign in before they needed recovery. The issue I'm having is that during that time they had their email change (name change). And I can't move forward with the recovery because their email on 1Password is different from their email in Duo.As far as I can tell they are essentially locked out of their account and I can't figure out a way to change their email in 1Password to make it match.Thanks,-Bryan

I am setting up a new company and have been  asked  how do we protect the company  from loosing passwords that were saved by an employee who has left the company?

Hello,I have a question regarding how the 1Password integration with Linux terminals works. We’ve noticed that several employees have over 1,000 devices associated with their accounts in their linked account history, with the vast majority being Linux terminals. Is this expected behavior, or is it something we should be concerned about?Thank you for your insight.

We have recently migrated all our users over to using Microsoft Entra ID SSO. It works fine except every time they close the app or shutdown their computer, it asks them to login using SSO.We have a set of employees who do not always have a connection available. They go from site to site and some basements where they need to go don't have network or wi-fi. When that happens, they are unable to use 1password.Keep in mind that most of the time when they access these places they are escorted by security to go down in the basements and it's wasting their time as well as the security employee. We have it set to ask the Entra password every 7 days.Expected behavior: if I close the app or restart the computer, the token should still be valid.Current behavior: Every time I close the app or restart the computer, I have to login to the microsoft account again.

We're having some issues with Windows users getting the desktop client uninstalled. I've confirmed we're deploying the MSI package. My engineer is asking if the ugprade codes are built in so that the MSI can detect it at runtime and go into major update mode vs. us having to do an uninstall as well. Here is an example of the command:"msiexec.exe" /i "AgileBits.1Password.8.12.2.37.X64.msi" /qn REBOOT=ReallySuppress ALLUSERS=1 MANAGED_UPDATE=1Our users lack the ability to update the client themselves due to our desktop restrictions.

I cannot log in, becouse a coworkers 1password is being pushed even when logged into the browser, as you can see (we have different Chrome profiles). Please help - and she is getting an error when she wants to log in, and tries to fix this, that somebody else is already logged into this computer, even if I sign out!:(

I frequently use the possibility to search and copy a password through my keyboard using the shortcuts (macOS 26.3).This works fine, however often I run into the problem after copying the password it switches to another space (I use multiple spaces on my Mac). So I’m not returning to the space/application I was coming from but am directed to another space where in this case is running another instance of the same application (which is very well possible on macOS).Would be nice if 1Password would know what instance I was coming from, and return to the correct one.

Hi everyone,We have rolled out 1Password XAM and are really liking the Kolide Device checks. However we are running into edge-cases where we need to configure some custom checks and are struggling a bit.For example, we want to allow people with devices owned by other (partner) organisations access to some of our Kolide-protected apps. They have been allowed by their admins to install Kolide but they use a different EDR product that is not covered by the supplied checks.(Ie we use Crowdstrike Falcon, they use Palo Alto Cortex)Has anyone worked out a way to implement this sort of thing? Both in terms of a custom checks for Cortex and an either/or setup for EDR.

Hi everyone!  Can moderators in this community create a space for Kolide Admins to share checks and templates that they use in their environments? This would be similar to the way that Jamf uses Jamf Nation to allow admins to collaborate and share to better secure and protect our environments. Thanks,Steve

How can I stop 1password asking this question on website where I log in daily via Google?THANKS.

Title:1Password Chrome Extension (v8.11.14.24) Causes Unwanted Vertical Scrollbar by Injecting 1p-live-region ElementHello 1Password Team,I’m encountering a layout issue triggered by the 1Password Chrome extension, which I believe was introduced in a recent update (within the last week or two). Below are the details:Environment:Device: MacBook Pro 15-inch, 2018 (macOS 15.6.1)Browser: Chrome 1411Password Extension Version: 8.11.14.24 Issue Description:The page structure includes a root div inside the body with styles set to width: 100vw and height: 100vh, while the html element has width: 100% and height: 100%. Under normal conditions, the page renders correctly without any scrollbars. However, when an input field on the page is focused, the 1Password extension injects a new element into the body with the ID 1p-live-region. This element has a fixed height of 1px, which introduces an unwanted vertical scrollbar and breaks th

When I open my CLI tool it asks me to auth using SSO but since I am an owner that just times out. My other owners are able to use the 1pass app and CLI but there must be something in my setting preventing that.
