Add Passkey in Mac Safari

How do I add a passkey from my Mac Safari? When I ask a site to add a passkey it gives me a QR code to scan. So, I assume I have to use an iPhone to add one? In any case, if I open 1PW on my iPhone and try to scan the QR code, it always says "the one-time password URL is incorrect..."

    I'm having the same problem.  Seems like it is completely broken for safari on Mac at the moment.  My current workflow is to switch to Chrome, save the passkey and then switch back to safari, my preferred browser.

    My new problem is that on many websites (Dropbox for example) I can't figure out how to actually use the passkey to login...  works on some other sites (GitHub for example) but on many I just get this dialog:

    Going through the community posts, I'm seeing lots of reports of the same/similar issues and lots of comments from 1password staff brushing them off.  1Password used to be great, but the current state of the service on Mac is a disaster and I'm shopping for an alternative.
