Safari browser extension says: "Add browser extension"

When I click on the 1Password extension in Safari, it says 2 steps left. Clicking through shows the first two steps unchecked: "Add the browser extension", "Practice the basics". Clicking on the Next button does nothing.

Why would the extension tell me to install the extension? How do I fix this?

OS Version: 18.2
Browser: Safari

Hello, tyrion2016. Thank you for reaching out. I'm sorry about the issue you're encountering with 1Password.

Are you experiencing this problem only with 1Password for Safari? Does reinstalling the extension improve the behaviour?

    1. Right-click the Safari icon on your macOS dock and select Quit.
    2. Open Finder > Applications, and drag 1Password for Safari to the Trash, and empty the Trash.
    3. Download and install a new copy of 1Password for Safari from this link -> 1Password for Safari on the Mac App Store.

Let me know how that goes.

Hello: I noticed this problem for weeks. I uninstalled, deleted and reinstalled the extension 2 hours ago but the problem still persists.
