I have upgraded to 1Password 8 for Mac. Yesterday I had to re-set my iPhone settings and since then I cannot use Face ID to open 1Password. I have re-installed the 1Password app, checked to make sure 1Password is approved for using Face ID on my phone. Can you advise?

1P_Dave If I may can I make a "quick" analogy for you. Let us say that you lease cars instead of purchasing. Your dealer tells you (again and again) how great the new model is with all these great features. So you go ahead and lease the new one. Not long after you realize that things aren’t working like they should. Critical features aren't working. Also some features have been removed that you've always used.
The dealer tells you to bring the car in, after looking for awhile they say they can't fix it right away. Their solution is to take your old car back but you will still keep paying for the new one. A month passes and nothing. Another month and they tell you they are working on a fix. 2 or 3 more months go by with the same answer and your still driving your old car.
What would you do? Just wait silently hoping for an update whilst still paying the price you were paying for the new car? If so than you are a better person than I.

Same issue here on Iphone 12 pro since August (!!!) with always the latest iOs and 1Password version installed…
Every system or app update is a hope this will fix it with no luck…
Had to roll back to the v7 that is working fine with Face IdWhile I loved 1Password, I’ve been really really disappointed with this and the way it is being handled for months now!

I think it's the least you could do for being unwilling or unable to fix the Face ID issue on the iPhone and the Touch ID issue on the iPad. If I'm going to pay full price for a product that is not working as it should I would at least like to be able to downgrade.

Same problem here. iPhone XR / iOS 16.1.1 / 1P v8.9.7 Especially noticeable when trying to sign in to a website through a browser. (Safari/Chrome) FaceID comes up, but almost immediately it fails with the message "That didn't work... You need to enter your account password before you can use Face ID."
Really surprising to find that this issue is so well documented and still unresolved. Having to enter my full master password every time is very problematic. Is there an ETA for resolving this?

Wow, it's been 2 or 3 months since I visited this thread and downgraded to 1P7, which has been mostly working fine, but I figured by now things must have been sorted out. I am utterly speechless that a bug this central to the 1P experience affecting this many people has not been fixed, nor has any ETA been shared with the thousands of people in this thread. In the decade plus I've used this software, I've never experienced anything like this. This company has, in my book, some of the best customer support around, so I have to assume this fix is not a top priority, or there'd be more communication about when the fix will be live.

Have same issuu on 8.9.7. TestFlight Beta is fulll.
Agilebits: Any chance you could increase the size of the beta until the production release with the fix is out? - Former Member
This bug is affecting me as well. How do I fix?? On latest version of 1PW8 on iOS 16. Please advise.

Here in version 8.9.7 and also have issues with FaceID and unlock. FaceID is working for other apps and unlocking my iPhone. But never unlocks 1Password. It shows successful detection of the face but doesn’t unlock. Even when I turned off FaceID and back on again, reset FaceID setup, uninstalled the App, rebooted the phone. Nothing helps unfortunately :(

test flight version 8.9.9 fixed the face id issue if anyone is not willing to downgrade to 1P7
