Just switched to EERO mesh with EERO Plus. Email from EERO that this includes a Family Subscription for 1Password (which I already have). Anyone know how to switch billing information so I don’t end up paying for going subscription that EERO will cover?Solved500Views0likes4CommentsPhishing Attempt?
I received a text message from +1(657)215-1526 as following: "1Password: Your recovery code is xxxxxxxx (7 digit number). If you did not request this please respond with N immediately". I replied with N and few minutes later received a phone call from +1(888)710-9976. Person was telling me that somebody from India trying to hack my account and they would recommend to logout from all instances. They asked how often ago I was used 1Password - which I replied that I'm using it all the time. They said that they will send me email with code that I would need to do something. That email got to Junk mail, and it contained something resembling 1Password QR code. I hang up on them realize that it's very likely to be a phishing attack, but wanted to validate this with 1Password team.Solved337Views0likes2CommentsDisable Private or default to a Shared
We're a family and are long time users of 1Password. Ever since 1Password introduced the "Private vault", its caused more trouble, as every time a new Chrome profile gets created, or a new browser Extension gets installed the default vault resets back to "Private vault". These days, its common to get a new device (new Ipad, or new computer) and along with it a new browser, and we're always finding we have to reset our preferences for the default Vault to save new logins into, it gets reset back to "private vault" by default on any new installation. This leads to confusion and lost passwords, and duplicate accounts, because we expect the accounts to be synced. And we end up finding it in someones Private vault later on by accident. It's been an ongoing frustration, and I think the issue lies in how we have to choose the default Vault in settings for every extension, instead of having a global 1Password setting to choose the default vault account-wide. I'd love a solution here, as it's become a bigger and bigger issue and keeps coming up.164Views0likes3Comments👉 Please allow permanent sort by Title in 1Password for Windows
Hello 1Password team, since a few updates on 1Password for Windows, the sort order (for example "Title") is no longer remembered when switching categories or after restarting the app. This makes it cumbersome to work with large vaults, because I always have to re-set "Sort by Title" every time I open the app or change the view. It would be very helpful to have: - either a global default sort option (e.g. always by Title), - or that 1Password simply remembers the last chosen sort order reliably. Is this planned, or could you please consider adding it? Thank you!Solved162Views2likes12CommentsToo much power in the hands of a family manager
Back in 2020/2021, a lot of us—myself included—poured time, energy, and probably a few cups of coffee into voicing concerns on the 1Password Community platform. One particularly lively thread, "Too much power in the hands of a family manager," seems to have mysteriously vanished during the migration to the new community. Poof! Problem solved. Gotta admire the efficiency 😄 Maybe those 1Password users on Reddit (https://www.reddit.com/r/1Password/comments/1m4gm7g/it_is_insane_that_you_can_lose_your_1password/) wouldn’t have wasted their time and energy if they had seen the thread. Don't get me wrong — I'm a happy 1Password user, and in my opinion, it's (still) the most polished password manager out there. It offers many great features that most others lack, like SSH key management, CLI integration, and more. I also understand that the Family account is essentially a rebranded Business account, so changing the underlying architecture is likely a complex task — and perhaps not even worth the effort if revenue from family accounts is relatively small compared to business clients. That said, I’d simply prefer honesty and transparency over silencing valid, critical voices.Solved145Views1like11CommentsMedical and RX ID Cards
It would be real nice if 1Password could store Medical and Prescription ID Card details. I did a search and it was recommended to use the Medical record, but that is more for hospital and medication records. It doesn't align with anything for your ID cards. Almost like it would be better to do a regular note record instead. I've seen some other records that most people (for family) will never use (Database). But most everyone has a medical ID and prescription card. How to recommend/suggest a new record type?139Views2likes4CommentsNew iPad - Account Data already known
Hi, today I configured a new iPad of my wife. I downloaded the 1Password App from the Appstore and selected Login. Than the 1PW App already suggested me the Login of my wife for our Family Account and already had the Secret Key filled in. On my wifes iPhone the iCloud sync of the Keychain is not activated. Can someone please explain how the App on the new iPad were able to get the data? Maybe Keychain sync was temporary activated in the past on the iPhone of my wife - not sure. But I don't want those data in the Cloud, so that those data needs to be added manually on new devices. Regards Finke127Views0likes8CommentsDefault for Sign In Automatically after Autofill
I may not be a "typical" user, as I am continually looking at new browsers and computer for my personal and professional life. I use 1Password extensively in my personal and professional life. I have both personal and business accounts. As a result, I am installing the 1Password extension many times, not necessarily daily, or even weekly, but often enough where I feel this warrants at least a discussion. I am not a fan of the "sign in automatically after autofill" feature. While I can see it as a "nice" feature for some, for me it creates more confusion in the long run than whatever it is trying to "solve". Especially in this day and age of MFA, 2FA, etc. And for our older, more "mature" audience members, the quick actions after autofilling can lead to confusion. Anyway, I digress. I really dislike that I have to turn this "feature" OFF with every install. Why not have this default to OFF and make a suggestion to turn it ON if wanted? "Hey, did you know that 1Password can auto-submit your login? Go to settings and enable this.... " etc etc etc. While I do see that having many features enabled by default is a good thing, I feel that some features should be left up to the user to enable and not forced upon us. Could you consider making this an "optional" or "opt-in" feature and not turned on by default? Maybe I'm in the minority, and that's ok. It's just a suggestion. Thank you for your time!113Views0likes11Comments
