1Password Firefox extension and desktop app say they are offline

In the last several weeks 1Password has has major issues on one of my computers. The Firefox Extension won't allow me to log in, it opens the desktop app.

Firefox Extension version: 8.10.82.29

Desktop App version: 1Password for Windows 8.11.8 (81108040)

The desktop app then asks me to scan the QR code or type in my email. But the QR code never shows up, it's just spinning then an error message shows up that says: "1Password is offline. Check your internet connection or try again."

My computer has internet, I ran a speed test and get 467 down and 839 up. All the rest of my applications have no problem connecting to the internet. I am able to log into 1Password on other computers as well.

These are all the same versions I have on other computers that I am able to log into 1Password on.

I know that nothing is being blocked on the network, I have checked the firewall and switches and see traffic going to 1Password from other devices just fine. I don't see it coming from this one I'm having the issue on.

I attempted to check the 1Password.com site, but it times out and doesn't connect. Though I did confirm I do still have internet access. I was previously able to open 1Password just fine. Nothing has changed on the computer other installing SSMS and Visual Studio Code, neither of those would affect this though.

Thanks for removing those screen shots, I hadn't realized I posted with my email. I'll correct that.

Thanks for the reply. Since you can't access 1Password.com, it sounds like something is blocking the connection to or from 1Password. So that I can investigate this further, I'd like to ask you to create and share a 1Password diagnostics report from your Windows PC:

      Send a diagnostics report (Windows)

Attach the diagnostics to an email message addressed to support@1password.com

      With your email please include:

      • A link to this thread: https://www.1password.community/discussions/1password/1password-firefox-extension-and-desktop-app-say-they-are-offline/161526
      • Your forum username: mmcnair

You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number.  Please post that number here.  Thanks very much!

Unfortunately, there is no option for me to generate the report:

I can see the button for that on my other computers, but the one that is having the issues.

  • Hello mmcnair! 👋

I'm sorry that you're running into issues with 1Password on your Windows PC. As a precaution, I removed a couple of the screenshots from your post since they showed your email address and I didn't know if you wanted that exposed on the public forum.

As a start, can you make sure that you don't have any of 1Password's required ports and domains blocked by your device, security software, or your network: 1Password ports and domains

Can you also tell me if you're able to log in to your 1Password account on 1Password.com in your browser on your Windows PC? Or do you get an error message?
