Update all login icons
Hi there, I migrated and imported all logins from 1password 7 to 1password 8. However all logins were imported without icon. I have 1500+ logins, how can I update/fetch all icons for all my logins a...

6 months agoI'm sorry that you're not seeing icons for items. Can you clarify where the icons aren't showing up? In the 1Password app itself? Or in the browser?
Are you able to post a screenshot of what it looks like when the icon doesn't show up? Make sure that nothing sensitive is visible in the screenshot.

It is in the 1password app itself, where the website icon doesn't appear. In the example below, it is for Google Gmail account in 1password 8. It has a box that says "Go"
But in 1password7 - it actually showed a rich icon (see below for icon example). The desired behavior would also just show the rich icon.

Thanks for the screenshot. And, just to clarify, you have https://www.google.com saved as the website address for all of those logins? And that specific rich icon does appear if you edit one of the affected items using the 1Password desktop app, click the website address field, and press spacebar?

yes the website address is correct for all the logins. It appears fine on 1p version 7.
After the migration, it does not appear.
On 1p version 8, then if I do manually go into the address field, press space at the end of hte field, the rich icon would appear.
But I also noticed that if you decide to "edit" the login, and you do nothing except press the "save" then the login will then update and the rich icon would appear.
Based on this - is there a way that one can just "touch" all the logins so that all the rich icons appear properly?- 1P_Dave5 months ago

Thank you for those details. Try turning "Show app and website icons" off and then back on. If that still doesn't work then I'd like to ask you to create a diagnostics report from your Mac:
Send a diagnostics report (Mac)
Attach the diagnostics to an email message addressed to support@1password.com
